Green Hummus Recipe
- 1 cup dry chickpeas
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 small green chili pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 pinch salt ((to taste))
Soak chickpeas over night or for at least 12 hours.
Toss chickpeas into a pot and add water.
Turn the heat to high and bring it to the boil.
Turn down the heat and let it cook for 45-60 minutes over low heat.
When done put cooked chickpeas and the remaining water in the pot in a blender.
Add the rest of the ingredients.
Blend for a few minutes until desired consistency is reached.
