Tabbouleh Recipe

TabboulehTabbouleh is a Middle Eastern mezze/salad. There are different variations that call for either more bulgur or parsley or both. Traditional tabbouleh involves olive oil and mint sometimes.

Tabbouleh Recipe

  • 1/4 cup dry bulgur
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 4 baby cucumbers
  • 5 spring onion leaves
  • 4 handfuls or more finely chopped parsley
  • 1/5 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt ((to taste))
  1. Soak bulgur in hot water for 15 minutes.

  2. Finely Chop tomatoes, cucumbers and spring onion.

  3. Drain bulgur.

  4. Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix them all together.

  5. Serve.
